I would like to share another story with you so that you believe in yourself enough to become one of their helpers ...
I live between two mountains in the holler and I experienced so much with the wildlife here. I have stickers on my windows to deter the birds from hitting them or thinking they can fly through them.
Every now and then I hear a thump and I know a bird has hit the window. It depends on how loud the thump was that seems to determine if the bird is laying on the ground when I get out there.
It was a cold winter day, the birds were all puffed up to help keep themselves warm and I was burning wood in my cabin when I heard it ... I looked out the window and then got on the porch and overlooked the area and sure enough a male cardinal was rolling around on the ground. It almost seemed like his head was going in a different direction than his body and I never saw a bird do that before. I thought it had broke its neck.
I put on the warmest and fastest clothes I could get on because I know I'd be outside for a while. And out the door I rushed to be of service to the little cardinal.
I picked him up and held him cupped in my hands and kept breathing my warm breath on him while trying to hold his head and body in alignment.
When I felt he was warm enough, I began my evaluation. I wasn't sure if his neck was hurt but I kept stroking it. Both legs didn't seem to be able to hold on so I touched them lately to see if there was a problem I couldn't see. I just kept breathing on him and stroking him and checking him out. I opened One Wing it seemed fine and then the other which also seemed to find.
The Cardinal had his eyes closed the whole time he really took a hard hit. I started working with his legs and kept stroking his face, neck and body and chest. I put a little pressure under his chin to try to get things to move in that little body.
Well one eye opened and shut right away and I knew it was a very good sign! I kept doing what I was doing and I kept trying to open his little claws that would hold on to a branch
I sat outside in that cold weather al ong time with the little cardinal and let him know he wasn't alone. That somebody cared. That somebody was going to keep him warm until he could function correctly again.
Eventually both eyes opened, they closed for a while again but they opened not too long after and blinking started its pattern. That was a very good sign. I kept breathing on him to keep him warm and kept stroking him and working the claws.
Well lo and behold, this little cardinal was standing in my hand very comfortable with me and what I was doing. I kept doing it and sending love from my heart to his heart..
Eventually, 1 claw grabbed onto my finger and held it, it wasn't long before the other claw started to work better instead of being all curled up in a ball.
Well here is the happy ending of one of us getting involved when something in nature needs our help ... That little cardinal that hit the window so hard, that I thought for sure wasn't going to make it but wasn't willing to give up ... DID he made it!
Then he flew to my vehicle and held on my windshield wiper for the longest time still getting his bearings. And then I watched him fly to a tree and I Knew all was well again for him and it made my heart sing 🎶
Dear ones, you can make such a difference if you just involve your beautiful energy and intuition into helping something or someone who needs your Love
From my heart to yours, Unity
